D-Link, a global leader in networking and connectivity technology, has announced the addition of the Industrial AC1200 Wave 2 Outdoor Access Point (DIS-3650AP) to its extensive portfolio of industrial networking solutions. The new launch offers a robust, centrally managed connectivity through the company’s network management tool – Nuclias Connect – even in the most challenging environments, from manufacturing and construction to outdoor spaces.

The DIS-3650AP supports 802.11ac Wave 2 technology with MU-MIMO, delivering cutting-edge wireless speeds of up to 1200 Mbps with 802.11k/r fast roaming. What’s more, the built-in Band Steering allows multiple devices to get high-bandwidth Wi-Fi signals while connecting to the best available frequency band at the same time.

Built to last and operate in the harsh outdoor environments, the DIS-3650AP is IP67-rated weatherproof with a wide operating temperature range as well as 6 kV surge protection and 8 kV ESD protection. Ideal for industrial installations and less cable clutter, the DIS-3650AP can also be easily mounted on a pole, wall or DIN rail and is powered by PoE, making it ideal for placing in hard-to-reach areas to provide connectivity wherever needed.

Designed to be adaptable and fit into a range of networking environments, the DIS-3650AP offers multiple operational modes, allowing it to function as an access point, a Wireless Distribution System (WDS), a WDS with access point, or a wireless client.

The Industrial AC1200 Wave 2 Outdoor Access Point can be deployed as a standalone device or as part of a scalable multi-device deployment of up to 1000 APs centrally managed through D-Link’s free Nuclias Connect management software or the Nuclias Connect Hub, allowing network administrators to monitor and configure networks remotely.

To ensure safety, the Industrial AC1200 Wave 2 Outdoor Access Point (DIS-3650AP) is designed with strong security and authentication features, including Wireless LAN segmentation, VLAN support and captive portal with WPA3-personal Wi-Fi security.
